Brookite with Anatase
Description
Brookite with AnataseEven though Brookite and Anatase are polymorphs, they are rarely found in nature together. As a matter of fact, compared to Rutile and Anatase, Brookite is considerably rarer. This piece is the only specimen to feature Brookite and Anatase together. Out of the hundreds of pieces I've seen from this area, it's incredibly difficult to find any specimens with both species together. A sharp, gemmy, lustrous, flame red colored 9 mm crystal of Brookite is
layered blades of Ferberite on the side
A very attractive “locality” specimen from Corocoro which was collected in October of 2010
The piece features dozens of “rosettes” of tan Siderite which are sitting atop rather lustrous
"sword"-shaped crystals of Vivianite with metamorphosed Sandstone
well-formed dodecahedral crystals which are associated with a few gemmy prismatic Quartz crystals
fairly sharp
Specimen # BOL711B144
Carbonate-rich Hydroxylapatite is actually a variety of Hydroxylapatite and is well known from a fair number of world localities
some exciting Valetinites started trickling out of the Colavi Mine to the south
Specimen# CO712B56
prismatic crystal of Hubnerite with a few GEM quality Quartz crystals (one of which is doubly terminated)
don’t miss out on this specimen
