The factory marketed their product under the name "Toppen", which means "the top" in Norwegian. These skis themselves were the top of the line for the time they were produced; the early 1970s. Let's dive right in Norway's Hallgeir Brenden was one of world's best cross country skiers in the 1950s. He won medals at the 1952 (Oslo), 1956 (Cortina), and 1960 (Squaw Valley) Olympics.
