Description

210cm Toppen Hallgeir Brenden "Balsa-Lett" Wood Cross-Country Racing Skis - RARE RED COLOUR - early 1970s, from Norway!!!!!!The Gjvik Skifabrikk in Norway produced wooden skis for nearly 50 years. The factory marketed their product under the name "Toppen", which means "the top" in Norwegian. These skis themselves were the top of the line for the time they were produced; the early 1970s. Let's dive right in Norway's Hallgeir Brenden was one of world's best cross country skiers in the 1950s. He won medals at the 1952 (Oslo), 1956 (Cortina), and 1960 (Squaw Valley) Olympics.
