Boracite
Description
BoraciteHere we have a good quality Boracite specimen from find the 2009 find in Bolivia. While these specimens are not a new find per se, they are newly mined specimens from this well known locality. Most people are familiar with the "blue" Danburites (included by Magnesioriebeckite) from this locality, but the other staple species found here is Boracite. This piece features a few rare, sharp, well formed, translucent, blue color cubic crystals of this hard

green color (partially iron-coated)
and Bolivia has arguably produced some the finest crystals of the species extant
and the size of the crystals places it in the upper ranks of all specimens found
I acquired just a few of these specimens in 2011 and I honestly thought them to be a common and unassuming associated species i

the most significant sulfide in the mine is Tetrahedrite

Specimen # AMAZWH111907
but they're still distinctly different
