Description
CassiteriteA unique Cassiterite from this classic tin deposit in Bolivia. Viloco (sometimes called Araca) for many years has stood as one of the top Cassiterite localities in the world. Considering the millions of tons of tin ore that Bolivia has yielded, the fact that only one mine ever produced transparent
Specimen # BOL711B151
This piece features a few excellent quality
but good Augelite specimens are few and far between
The most distinctive feature of the piece is that it hosts the single largest crystal of Hopeite that we’ve seen from this locality
Specimen # AMAZWH111920
Copal is classified as a "young amber"
PLEASE NOTE: There have been no more of these specimens found for many years from this locality
so it's not a broken "chunk"
with only a few small nicks to the Ludlamite groups
but please be aware that it does have nicks and broken edges
well-formed black and brown cyclic twinned crystals make for an appealing display piece
there are some small Cassiterite crystals that are actually “floating” inside the Quartz crystals
