通常、書体制作は読みやすさを考慮して白地の部分を大きくしたり、上品な印象を与えるために、横線と縦線のコントラストを高め、大文字と小文字の高さの差を大きくしたり、与えたい印象のために、その目的に合った形を決めていきます。自分も普段そういった考え方で書体を作っていくこともありますが、これまで何も考えずに作っていたらなんだか面白い文字になったり、大して凝った設計を行なっていなかったつもりなのに出来上がったらとても魅力のあるもになっていたり、意外と偶然良いものができることが多かったりした。今回はその要素が強い新しい書体4つを発表。ー永尾仁
